J. Alexander Greenwood
J. Alexander Greenwood is the author of the John Pilate Mystery Series and an award-winning storyteller whose work spans noir-tinged fiction, podcasting, and public relations. His books blend flawed heroes, sharp dialogue, and just enough snark to keep things honest.
Named Best Local Author by Kansas City Magazine in 2023, Alex is also the creator and host of PR After Hours, a podcast for business, marketing and public relations professionals, and co-host of the Kansas City true crime show Going to Killing City.
Beyond mysteries, his work includes horror (The Sign, A Debt of Flame), historical adventure (Big Cabin), and nonfiction bestsellers on podcasting and indie publishing. His short fiction has earned accolades from Launch Pad Prose and HorrOrigins.
When he’s not writing or behind the mic, Alex serves in a senior communications role at a public university and shares insights on media, culture, and creative life via his Substack, All the Fits That’s News.
